The Toronto Caribana Carnival is a street celebration in Toronto that brings the infectious vibes of the Caribbean islands. Every neighborhood bustles with Calypso and steelpan music and Caribbean food with the culture and heritage of the islands in full display. What started in 1967 as a standalone event marking Canada's Centennial celebrations has grown into North America's largest cultural gathering.

While the main showdown of Toronto Caribana is the grand parade, you can enjoy plenty of other things during the carnival. Let's take a look:

    ·        Grand Parade

The Grand Parade is the headliner where mas bands perform in the streets with steelpan instruments and masquerade dancers.

    ·        King & Queen Showcase

Watch the crowning of the leaders of the mas bands after an epic performance by all participants.

    ·        J’ouvert

Witness a mini parade on the morning of the Grand Parade with improvised steelpan instruments.

    ·        Carnival Ball

Take your partner to this ball dance party with masquerades.

    ·        Caribbean Food

Various restaurants and food trucks in the city come together to serve Caribbean delicacies like jerk chicken, rotis, and more.

    ·        Daylit Party

Attend this day pool party with private Cabanas, live music, Caribbean flavors, and drinks at Cabana Pool & Bar.
